CBS Bonfire 2021
It is with heavy hearts that Chailey Bonfire Society Committee has made the decision not to hold any Bonfire Celebrations, Street Procession or Firework Display in 2021.
As in 2020 this decision has been predominantly driven by the ongoing impact of the world wide Pandemic and although there may not be any government restrictions preventing these types of events we feel unable to responsibly stage an event that is safe from every perspective.
We do however plan to stage a special event at the Chailey War Memorial on the 11th November to remember those that have Fallen and to hold a Christmas Party for the Older Folk at Chailey Village Hall on Saturday 4th December. More information on both of these events will follow.
Planning for our 2022 Bonfire Event is already underway when we plan to return with a BANG and fund raising permitting to stage an event bigger and better than we have ever done before.
We are so grateful to everyone that supports us, in so many ways, and are really looking forward to normality, whatever that is.., returning and us all celebrating together again.
Keep safe and never forget “we wunt be druv”,
Chris

Fundraising Support
Chailey Bonfire Society is run by a small group of volunteers, raising money throughout the year to provide a free, family friendly bonfire night celebration and to gift a Christmas party to the senior residents in our village.
